On Wednesday night, Obama was caught in another lie, only on the brave outburst of Representative Joe Wilson (D, SC).

At a point in the speech when Obama was denigrating those that were spreading “mis-information” and “falsehoods” about his and Nancy Pelosi’s government run health care scheme, he specifically said this:

“There are also those who claim that our reform efforts would insure illegal immigrants. This too is false. The reforms — the reforms I am proposing would not apply to those who are here illegally.”

To which Joe Wilson shouted:  “You Lie”

So what are the facts.  Well, according to the non-partisan Congressional Research Office,  the bill, HR 3200 (download here) would:

“Under H.R. 3200, a ‘Health Insurance Exchange’ would begin operation in 2013 and would offer private plans alongside a public option…H.R. 3200 does not contain any restrictions on non-citizens—whether legally or illegally present, or in the United States temporarily or permanently—participating in the Exchange.”

So, on one hand, Obama was correct, but as has become the norm, by omission, he was lying.  This has become all to common a tactic off Democrats as they seek to implement a Socialist agenda heretofore unseen in scope and arrogance.

It is the same thing with Abortion.  Obama stated in his speech that there was nothing in the bill that would cover government funded abortion, even FactCheck.org stated this:

“although under H.R. 3200 federal money is not used to fund abortion, under the public insurance option there is a provision for abortion coverage — as well as provisions for government-subsidized public and private insurance plans that cover what are described as “reproductive services.”

So, what is the truth.  Well given that Barack Obama and Nancy Pelosi were quick to accept Joe Wilson’s apology and were dismissive of any censure resolution, it is clear they are not eager to continue debating this point.  Additionally, Max Baucus, immediately announced a move in his Senate Committee to prevent illegals immigrants from participating by using Social Security numbers to determine eligibility.  Will that be as effective as using social Security numbers to determine eligibility for employment?

Do not be fooled.  Get educated.  Below you will find several links to help you understand what is REALLY in the bill.  The Democrat Party is waging a death match to garner the probable 3-4 GOP votes they need to pass this bill without reconciliation.  My guess is if they have to, they will utilize reconciliation to pass this bill.  We cannot give them the cover to utilizing what many call the “nuclear option”.
